About Me

Many years in the pharmaceutical industry in sales & marketing left me frustrated with some of the products that I was responsible for.

  • Why were so many products little different from the alternatives?
  • Why were the benefits not appreciated by physicians, patients and payers?
  • Who made that decision early in clinical development?
  • Or, more often, who had not made a decision and just followed the usual path?

The desire to make a real difference for patients, by ensuring products were better than the standard of care and that the molecule had the best chance of reaching its full potential, led me to work as a commercial expert in early clinical development. It was not easy, but it was very rewarding. I use my experience to help organisations ensure that their product reaches the patients who benefit the most and I am also a non executive board member of two organisations.
